What are the differences of one on one
between CIP and Vietnam’s English Center?

Hello, Philippines! This is my first greeting when the airplane from SGN approached in Manila airport. We were eager to come to CIP and enjoy the life here. "Philippine is as same as Vietnam" is our impression at first. It seems that there’re no significant differences between Philippines and Vietnam such as weather, etc…

One of elements which made me decided to participate in this course is the way of studying, one by one. This means that one student will study with one teacher in a class.

We started our schedule at CIP from Monday by an entrance test and orientation for suitable classes. Normally, our classes are started from 9:00AM to 5:30PM with 50 minutes for each class and 10 minutes for relaxing. I have 7 classes in total with 2 group classes studying with native speakers and others are with Pilipino teachers. They’re almost kind, friendly and young. They’re willing to help us in difficulties related English such as pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar or speaking or listening…

I also have 1 hour of break time but I still have to speak English with other friends. I’m not worried about laundry or room cleaning, the only requirement that we should do is bringing it filling forms or bringing them to the right place and date. So we’ll have more time for studying. Therefore, not only in classes, I take all the days for studying, practicing and communicating in English, everyday and everywhere. This is a good chance! I think so!

Studying one on one is not so different in comparison with ones in Vietnam, but there’re no one-by-one classes that lasts from morning to afternoon like in CIP! Usually, we go to language center for studying English about 2 hours per day and 3 times per week only because we have to go to school, university or work. Some can go to the center more regularly, may be every day, but no one spends his/her time in a day just for studying English like in CIP. On the other hand, we can’t have an English communication environment all day. Although we work with foreign, we have to speaking English, but after working hours, which languages will we use?

Above is my opinion for the first week of studying and staying at CIP.
Let’s enjoy the life here!!!^_^
